Experience Boulder Adventure Film Festival

I Want To Climb Eldorado Canyon

I mean, sure, it would be so amazing to climb up that wall of rock, but am I really going to start climbing, at that level, at my age? No, we can agree this level of bold chance is beyond my ability.  As Bones might say on Star Trek, “I’m a Realtor dammit man.”  And yet, the 2016 Boulder Adventure Film Festival gives me an opportunity to live that dream.

Happening Friday the 30th and Saturday the 1st of October, this festival of accomplishment celebrates the films and lifestyle of the adventuring community.   Watch local rock climbers attack The Naked Edge, a harrowing climb in Eldorado Canyon just south of Boulder.  The pair is climbing simultaneously and seeking to set a time record.  This will have you leaning out of your chair.

Sure, you can google the video, but to really experience the awe and excitement of the moment, see it on the big screen.  Doors open at 5:30 and the short films start screening at 6:30 pm Friday evening.

Boulder Family Films Saturday

From noon to two pm, check out family oriented content at the Boulder Theater,  Followed by more intrepid action, with a two hour session of short films at 4 pm and then a three hour collection of indie films that share the community of bold adventurers from around the world.  From the tallest peaks to the lowest spots on our beautiful planet.

And it isn’t merely film.  The festival features parties, music, interaction and so much more.

Inspiration Boulder!

The people behind Adventure have a goal of inspiring you – anyone, everyone – to live life to the fullest, pursue your adventures.  The festival will reflect all of this with clothing companies, gear, dining, the street fair and most of all one of a kind awe inspiring indie short films.  I’m not personally climbing The Naked Edge, but I sure want to see the Boulder climbers do just that, in record time, at this year’s festival.

Get your biking on, read about the best bike riding trails around town.   Or check out this post on all things cycling: the Biking around Boulder.   BTW, I haven’t blogged on it yet, but have you cycled up the new concrete pathway along Hwy 36?  Great workout and rewarding views.  You might also want to check out Boulder homes for sale, a preset selection of houses priced just under a $2 million bucks or see why this trailer home is the highest priced sale from last year.
