This week, First National Bank is celebrating the Grand Opening of First National Bank Table Mesa location. They have a series of grand opening week promotions that I wanted to let you all know about. The Bank location is right next to the Boulder Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Office where I work – on Table Mesa. please feel free to stop by to chat or ask some real estate questions! Perhaps the best known landmark is the sign for the Boulder Area Realtors Association along Table Mesa.

Grand Opening at First National Bank Was A Hoot
I wound up attending part of this event, as I happened to be working from the office that day. What a super fun community event – to open a bank of all things.
I have to admit, I’m always surprised that banks open and displace coffee shops and other sorts of businesses. I guess I just sometimes don’t realize the amount of money in banking.
Maybe this is because I see Boulder real estate as a safer, stronger investment than the volatile stock market or the staid bank account. Owning a rental property is a great way to protect against inflation and protect your money over time. It doesn’t hurt that the market here has consistently gone up in value since the mid 70’s.
But, back to that opening. The location is the same as the old McDonalds on South Boulder Road. Funny, I’ve lived here long enough to recall getting fast food at the to-go window.
Great People Make Great Banks
Met a number of my new banking neighbors, got some super cool prizes – which I gave away to college bound nieces in hopes one might land in Boulder. No such luck – C went to LeHigh and J off to Skidmore. I have a great sweatshirt from Skidmore College – big fan of wearing college gear. Usually you’ll find me in Ohio Wesleyan University wear – that’s where I attended school back in the Eighties.
