Step Back To Yesteryear
The Dougherty Museum on the eastern edge of Boulder County holds an annual event not to be missed. The TBT style yesteryear farm and home show is a must see. Discover the heritage of the county. Kids will love the working mechanical motor displays and endless rows of farm tractors. Time it just right and you might see the old timers bail hay. I say, if you can time it just right. I watched as the belt driven machine kept breaking down. The gear looked tremendously dangerous too boot. I can only imagine really operating something like that in the distant past. Oh boy.
August 28th 2015 Yesteryear Farm and Home Show
This year’s event takes place on the weekend of the 28th. Should be a great time. Great opportunity to see all sorts of working old time gear including:
- antique tractors
- farm machinery
- steam engines
- stationary engines
- threshing/baling
- spinning/weaving

Event takes place Friday August 28th – Sunday August 30th, 2015. Doors are open 9am – 8:30pm and there is plenty of free outdoor show parking. Admission is free all three days. Donations appreciated. Check out a super music video recorded at the event taking advantage of the old time gear for background sound effects.
The fair gives folks a chance to see all the myriad farm gear from generations gone by. Great collection of tractors.
