Loved everything but the chairs
Zucca is a great dining spot in downtown Louisville with a really inviting Al fresco patio area (full last night). We opted to be indoors and eating and were treated to a wonderful meal and solid service. Our waiter was constantly checking on us. Lots of other happy couples and families at Zucca as well. My only gripe – hard wooden chairs had me itching to leave before dessert.
Part of Three Leaf Concepts
Based upon a concept of organic, healthy and locally sourced foods, Zucca is a sister restaurant to my favorite breakfast place Huckleberry. You can expect good service, great values and original dishes. We started our evening with drinks. My wife enjoyed a glass of Prosecco, her favorite sparkling Italian wine. As the DD, I stuck to soda water with lime & lemon.
The Menu at Zucca Italian Ristorante
Great selection of dishes. We were happily surprised by the bite sized “Chef’s selection” sent to us upon ordering. A bit of bread wrapped in Prosciutto with Chive. We shared a wonderful salad, Rucola e Eadicchio Con Mela. A delicious blend of Gorgonzola Cheese, Hazelnuts, apple slices and Arugula. For dinner, Julie enjoyed the Polenta Zucchini Parmesan ($14). She had the chicken option (another $2). Her dish was rich and satisfying. I played it safe ordering the Fettuccine Alla Vodka Rustica ($15). Two Italian Sausage links atop a pile of Fettuccine in a rich creamy sauce of tomatoes, pancetta, parmesan and paprika. Check out the entire menu.
