19th Annual Quaker Lafayette Oatmeal Festival Starts With Breakfast

This Saturday marks the 19th happening of the Quaker Oats sponsored Lafayette Oatmeal Festival.  It is certain to be a great time for everyone in the family.    Kids love the oatmeal bar.  There are over 128 toppings to select from or follow the directions of one of the guest dignitaries.  The line for oatmeal is shortest closer to the start time of the festival.   Fun facts: over 4,000 oatmeal pancakes will be served while a grand total of 200 gallons of oatmeal is consumed.

In years past the race has faced frigid temps, but forecasts for this weekend’s run and Lafayette Oatmeal Festival suggest mild temperatures in the 40’s.

Bonfils Community Blood Drive
