You See WHAT in Boulder Colo
I stopped to grab a photo around town today. I’m planning a future post on the best places to play pick up basketball. While getting the pictures, I noticed a vibrant green bush like plant growing right in front of my car. Check out the picture. It’s pot. Marijuana. Legal these these days in Colorado. Later, while walking on the Pearl Street Mall, I noticed a small sign for a medical marijuana spot. The business’ front door is at street level, but the place is mandated to be a floor above or below street level.
Downtown Boulder Colo
We had a great meeting with an economic presentation by Cliff Harald and Liz Hanson. I learned a great deal and blogged on it. The meeting was held at our new downtown Boulder space (pictured). Outside, I listen to a song by a guy with a great smile, if not the best teeth. I decide to give him a dollar. A couple walks by with a dog, then a couple of Moms stroll by with a baby. The downtown/Pearl Street Mall area is vibrant. And there is change in the air.
The Boulder Daily Camera building is coming down. A planned project is going to add 160,000 square feet on the west end of the Boulder Pearl Street mall. This is a big project. Another project that is moving along rapidly is the 30th and Pearl Street development near Whole Foods. It includes housing, an RTD hub with ample parking, a movie theater and indoor soccer field. All around town there are signs of a booming commercial real estate market.
Shopping and Dining Around Town
I’ve written about Bands On The Bricks, the summer concert series on Wednesdays. There is plenty of great shopping on the mall. The Flip Flops Store is my wife’s new favorite. She loves wearing the comfortable shoes all year long. I love the Boulder Bookstore. It is friendly and inviting. A wide variety of dining options exists. Be sure to spend time on the mall. Recently my family enjoyed a great evening on the mall.
Busy Real Estate Market Around Town
Work – you know, showing houses, getting listings sold, that stuff, is busy. Over the weekend I listed and SOLD two new properties. Each received multiple offers. Another agent summed it up when she called today (only a few days after I listed one of the homes). You have to be FAST around town in today’s red hot market.
