Spent the day showing property in the close-in Boulder Colorado mountain real estate market on Saturday. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day to spend in the mountains viewing a wide variety of houses.

Some Boulder Colorado mountain homes are on modest lots, less than an acre in size. Others were on significant pieces of land with great privacy.

Visiting from out of state, the home buying clients were interested in getting a good idea of the area, so we viewed a number of homes in different canyons. Some had sweeping views, another was rustic with a stream on the property. We viewed one remote home and bumped into another Realtor showing it at the same time – a reminder that Boulder Colorado is a hot real estate market.

Today’s blog is really just a photo journal of some of the homes you can own when you purchase Boulder Colorado mountain real estate. We were able to readily access all of these homes in a Toyota front wheel drive Avalon, no four wheeling necessary.

While saw evidence of wild animals, we only got close to a very friendly Golden Retriever, a mouse chasing cat and some fenced in llamas.

Boulder Colorado Mountain Real Estate entails many different sized lots and all sorts of homes.

You can own a large amount of acreage, or conveniently bump up next to Boulder County Open Space or even Federal National Forest. There are homes with large lots, others with smaller parcels. How close is too close when it comes to Boulder Colorado mountain real estate?

One of the most remote homes we viewed was on natural gas, no propane. The owner told us, according to legend, the original owners had negotiated a right of way easement for the gas company’s main pipe in return for gas being run to the property.

Saw all sorts of kitchens and bathrooms. Some in need of updating – not pictured – and others that were inspired. Here are photos of my favorite kitchen cooking area and another home’s bathroom shower.

Several homes offered extensive barns, though only one really being used as a barn was the house with llama farm (which, btw, turns out llamas are really smelly).
