Hi, I’m Bob Gordon. My goal is to blog daily on Boulder; today’s post is all about the farmers market. Thanks for reading. This post is designed as a community resource/FAQ.

Boulder Farmers Market: “We Grow What We Sell”

A great motto on the behalf of the Farmers Market. We grow what we sell. Be sure to check out a true treasure of Boulder, the Boulder Farmers Market. Operating on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings, this market is part festival, part party and at its heart, a great way to get fresh locally sourced foods.
Party Time Wednesday Nights

In college, Wednesday was called Hump Day. Seems fitting that in the University Colorado Boulder town, this tradition is alive and well. Wednesday evening is a great night to have a lot of fun in festive Boulder. We enjoy visiting the Boulder Farmers Market for dinner and then heading over to the Pearl Street Mall for Bands on the Bricks. Of course, there is live music, cold beer and a festive vibe at the Farmers market, so you need not leave to have a great evening.
On our recent visit, there was great live music in the beer garden as well as impromptu drumming and chanting in the park. Vendors were selling a wide variety of delicious prepared foods as well as fresh organic vegetables and naturally raised meats. There is also a great alley set up with prepared foods. We enjoyed dishes ranging from oven roasted beets over organic greens with goat cheese ($7) to Dumplings with a spicy Thai Peanut sauce and wood-fired oven baked pizza. All in all, a great meal on a budget.
