Illegal Pete’s Burritos and more

Illegal Pete’s is a Boulder dining spot dedicated to happy repeat customers. They take the concept of the burrito to an entirely new level and deliver unparallelled food quality and customer service in the process. There are several locations of Illegal Pete’s around town.. My favorite is located on the entrance to the Pearl Street Mall.
The burrito fare here is a pleasant surprise. The food prep is all onsite and the flavors are great. I enjoyed a steak burrito with all the fixings. My friend had a burrito bowl with a warm tortilla on the side, wrapped in foil to stay toasty. Illegal Pete’s also has a bar and social scene as well as serves a great breakfast. Not only is the food great, but the establishment is clean and tidy, filled with warming sunshine and wood floors that add ambiance. There is outdoor seating for sunnier days as well.
Easy Access to Illegal Pete’s
Parking abounds near Illegal Pete’s. Easiest is the multi-story City of Boulder parking garage just southeast of the pedestrian mall. There is also plenty of metered a street parking about – just be sure to pay at the kiosk.
Things to do on Pearl Street Mall

This end of the mall is a child’s dream. There is plenty to do – jumping on metal sculptures, playing on the bricks where a mural of local streams and mountain towns exists or visiting kid favorite Into The Wind. This dynamic kite and toy store offers plenty of hands on displays and has something for children of all ages. A must see shop for adults. Across the mall from Into The Wind is the Boulder Arts and Crafts Gallery. Established in 1971, this wonderful shop displays a plethora of different artists works. Take time to wander, this is another must-see shop for visitors to Boulder.

Before or after shopping, stop for a delicious meal at Illegal Pete’s. The shop offers bowls, burritos and more. Enjoy all your favorite burrito fixings plus potatoes. Long before the national chains, this shop pioneered using brown rice and whole wheat tortillas, so enjoy lunch and eat health. During lunch hour on weekdays, expect to see business people you know, college students and visitors alike – great food and vibe at Illegal Pete’s.
I want to head to Pearl Street and get a burrito from Illegal Pete’s as that sounds excellent!
