Silver Creek Lafayette subdivision of the week. is both a new neighborhood and an established community. It has this unique status by being one of the areas affected by the economic slowdown from 2008. Currently Markel Homes is constructing new builds in this Lafayette Subdivision.

Homes first start being constructed 2008/2009. Perfectly terrible timing considering the impending recession. And yet, the newer houses are already sold out. This will be one of those communities of homes built over many years, but not really that big.
Smaller layouts start at about 2300 square feet and climb in size to over 3500 total square feet.
TIP: Boulder communities count basement square footage!
A selection of contemporary floor plans are available. Predominate construction is two story housing with a handful of ranch style layouts.

What To Expect With A New Build

Lots in Silver Creek Lafayette subdivision of the week are compact. Floor plans vary from two to four bedrooms and bathrooms. Most homes have basements. Drive down the street and there are signs encouraging drivers to slow for children at play. This community is centrally located in Lafayette, with easy access to Boulder Colorado, Broomfield and Longmont.
Silver Creek Home Building Time
Keep in mind, once you select a Lot, it can then take six to nine months to build your new home. Your interest rate, if you are financing the property, will not be determined until much closer to your closing date. You generally with new builds get to decide some additional features – flooring, kitchen features, bathroom upgrades. It can truly be a really fun experience.

Trees are still on the smaller size. One downside to new construction: not much in the way of landscaping for the first few years. Of course, getting the opportunity to own a brand new home is wonderful. Many times builders allow buyers to customize the interior finishes.

Lafayette Co Population
This little town has a population of 27,000 and counting. It is a popular city just east of Boulder. Readily accessible to Longmont (north on hwy 287), Broomfield to the south.
If you are working on the medical campus at Good Samaritan Hospital, this is community is just five minutes away.
Excellent Public Schools
Lafayette is part of the Boulder Valley School District. This is considered to be one of the preeminent school districts in Colorado. Children attend Centaurus High School. One of my favorite things about that high school is its inclusive mural out front. Check it out sometime. Silver Creek students are probably getting to school by bus, as you would have to cross/navigate Hwy 287 which is quite a busy road.
