Full Time Experienced Boulder Realtor
Licensed in 1995, I take my career seriously. I’m a full time Colorado real estate agent focused on Boulder and the surrounding community. Every year since ’95 I’ve added educational credits to stay abreast of the latest trends. I have served on committees for the Boulder Area Realtor Association and work out of a physical office location in town.
Is it outrageous to say, pick me? I’m Bob Gordon, full time Realtor and I’ll get your house sold.
Or Contact Bob Gordon And Interview 3 Agents
Get three Realtors to visit your property and give you their marketing pitch with successful steps to selling a home for top dollar in a timely manner. Compare their suggested pricing models. Keeping in mind – the highest price might not be the most saleable number.
Once you have your agent, work on de-cluttering your home.
Its The Marie Kondo Method
Hug your stuff if you are into the Kondo Way or just toss it in a box. Its important to reduce the clutter. All your personal photos? Box ’em. And its a good idea to put away religious artifacts. You might even take out some furniture to make your rooms feel more spacious.
Because this is all about making your home feel spacious, inviting, more of a blank canvas for the new owner to create their space!
Lock Up And Leave For Showings
When it comes to showings, leave. Yes, it can be annoying to have to clean your house and leave on short notice for a home showing. The truth is, home buyers feel a whole lot more comfortable viewing a house with just their real estate agent. If you stick around, you might scare off a perfectly good home buyer.
And take your dogs out of the property too. You might love your pets, but the next home owner might not be into animals. Shocking, I know. But honestly, send Fido to camp. Or take her to the office. Or have your kids take the pooch for another hour long walk.
And on that note, can’t believe I have to mention this, but please pooper scoop your yard. I’ve shown plenty of houses and a buyer steps in dog doo-doo and then we walk back into the house and…
Home buyers are thinking, “can I live in this space.” Not, “Oh, I better look for dog poop.” This is one of the easiest steps to successfully selling your house.
Stay Focused Til Closing For Most Successful Steps to Selling a Home
Sounds silly, I know. But stay focused. On the Inspection – make certain your house is spotless, lights on, cold waters on the counter. Help that new buyer feel great about her purchase. When the appraiser comes out, pets are out of the property. This is an incredibly important appointment.
The day of the closing, speak directly with the title officer about wiring instructions. You want to protect your best interests!
