Located in Old Town you will find the family friendly Sunset Golf Course.   Nine nicely laid out, nine  holes of golf.  This 2,983 yard course, created in 1924,  is not championship play.  Rather, Sunset Golf Course offers tree lined fairways, well cared for fairways and easy access to the community.  The course is located in the original portion of Longmont, surrounded by pretty turn of the century homes.

A Friendly Round Of Golf

This is a friendly course. Bring your own golf cart (members) or rent a set of clubs onsite.  Not too much in the way of water hazards at the Sunset Golf Course.  Players can walk, pull clubs or simply

drive carts.  This of course can affect the speed of play. 

Rates are reasonable; visit the official site to book online.  Keep in mind, the course shares a parking lot with the Sunset Community swimming pool, so parking in the heat of summer can be hit or miss at Sunset Golf Course.   The greens tend to be fast and small.

    Push, pull or carry your clubs. Cart rentals are affordable and available.
    Big, mature trees both define the course boundaries and provide plenty of shade. Great when you are stuck behind a slower playing group.
  2. Price. Deals abound, Gold-C books or similar often offer specials. This is a course where you can spend a few hours and less than $20 for an enjoyable round of golf.
  3. Well manicured greens and nicely tended fairways.  Its not rocket science and Sunset Golf Course does a great job of delivering a really nice city course.
  4. Beautiful views of the Flatirons and Rocky Mountains.
