Whittier Gem 2150 24th St Boulder House Of The Day

Grey First Day of Summer

It is Colorado so no surprise they are calling for snow (in the High Country) and it was grey and raining in Boulder most of the day. Still, good day to show homes and I saw a few. 2150 24th St was the gem of the day with so many windows and every room looked improved upon.

But I started my day on the east side of Boulder.

3220 Wright Ave Boulder 80301

Great single family (listed with Linda Nehls Re/Max of Boulder) residence over by Chistensen Park. Have you been over that way? There is an adorable play structure that really spoke to my Boulder Realtor heart with its little doorway and windows. Here’s a photo:

Lovely park climbing structure near 3220 Wright Ave in Christensen Park.

The house is classic late Eighties/Early Nineties design. There is this big vaulted ceiling space in the front of the house. This was all the rage when I first got my real estate license in 1995.

These days it is far more common to see vaulted spaces in the backs of homes – more like family rooms where we really hang out than in the formal rooms.

The place on Wright is a good value for a family looking to put their own stamp on the interior. I noticed an almond colored laundry appliance, plenty of linoleum and 3″ tile. Don’t let this stop you though. There is a wide open floor plan, four bedrooms and four bathrooms with a fully finished basement.

Great value for home shopper seeking to stay under the upper sevens in price.

Neo Victorian 2150 24th St Whittier Gem

This home really pops. While only a few blocks from shopping and dining, it feels a world away. The home is super adorable.

There isn’t merely the front door, but three glassed doors at front, side and back that you enter or exit to your lovely covered porch and lovingly landscaped yard.  House is listed by Lynn Ryan re/Max of Boulder.  View the property now!

While there, I bump into Russ and he mentions, “we spent quite a while getting the house ready and touched every aspect in preparation.” I completely believe it. The hardwood floors are gorgeous and there is no odor from the refinishing.

2150 24th St Neo Victorian just reduced by $50,000 in price.

Many rooms feature big windows on more than one wall. The impact? Even on a grey day, plenty of natural light.

Peak-A-Boo views of the pretty yard and vaulted ceilings tucked away here and there. Rather than an island, there is more of a day dine-at countertop area. Really, I wanted to grab an apron and cook some delicious food in that kitchen.

Future owners will be able to walk to coffee shops like Boxcar or shopping on the 28th corridor.

The second level is completely devoted to a dreamy master suite. Venture another flight of steps up and you’ll find the ideal children’s playroom or study or extra space for your activities.

Outdoors, did I mention the rose bushes, walking path stones or inviting landscaping? The owners at 2150 24th St put a lot of thought into creating a singular home, inside and out.
