Boulder Colorado July 4th Fireworks 2013
I’ll be honest. I love the fireworks and look forward to capping a wonderful day in Boulder Colorado July 4th with a great fireworks show. I have seen fireworks at ski resorts in the winter – quite spectacular lit up against white snow covered mountains. And shows along Lake Erie in Ohio as well as on the bay in San Diego. But my favorite show of all is here is my home town of Boulder Colorado July 4th show.

Folsom Field is a great place to see the fireworks. Listening to thirty thousand people ooh and ah while comfortably seated is the best way to see fireworks. How are you spending your Boulder Colorado July 4th? Here are some of the things in can enjoy for a Boulder Colorado July 4th extended weekend.

Boulder Top 10…err, 12 things to do for a Boulder Colorado July 4th

- Rent a tube and go down the rapids at Boulder Creek. Water will be mountain fresh and a tad chilly. Exciting fun; wear a life jacket, helmet and shoes. Be aware this is an unguarded river and tubing has risks.
- On Wednesday, visit the Boulder County Farmer’s Market for great eats and fresh vegetables. Enjoy live music and a cold one in the beer garden.
- Also on Wednesday the 3rd, hang out on Pearl Street Mall and enjoy Bands on the Bricks. Lots of fun music and people watching.
- Have a civil union – Boulder is a progressive open minded sort of place.
- Celebrate our community’s forward thinking with a visit to a local marijuana shop (if that is your thing). Colorado made the stuff legal in 2012 elections.
- Hike on gorgeous beautiful trails. Mount Sanitas is one of my favorite hikes, a miniature mountain in our backyard. Other hikes include the Coalton Trailhead and Chautauqua or the trails behind NCAR.
- Ride, skate, jog or walk the Boulder bike path. Hundreds of miles of trails maintained year round.
- Relax at a park. Scott Carpenter Park has a rocket ship for kids to play on and a public swimming pool. Boulder has a wide variety of parks; my favorite offers a one of a kind climbing structure.
Doors opening on Rocket Ship – NoBo Little Libraries Read a book. Boulder has libraries big and small and many great book stores. Not everyone wants to hear loud booms and bright lights on their Boulder Colorado July 4th .
